A&E will not be bringing back the cop drama.

A&E has cancelled The Glades after four seasons. The drama aired its now-series finale earlier this week, where it drew a season-high viewership of 3.4 million people.
The Glades ran for a total of 49 episodes since its premiere in the summer of 2010. It will be remembered as A&E's first original series that was picked up for more than one season.

Wow! That sucks. Give us a movie at least. Normally, I'd hate that cliffhanger, but that was a good one. You know it was Ray that shot him, too. Son of a b*tch! Now, we will never know, and Jim will never walk down the isle. You really dropped the ball, A&E.

Wow. Great job A&E. cancel a show on a cliffhanger with a record viewership. You guys must need to make room on your schedule for "storage wars all stars" or "barter kings on parole." Bet you can make either one of those shows dirt cheap.

I agree with everyone on this, the show was great and entertaining and we are now left wondering "who & why?" So, now the ex-husband is missing from witness protection and she does not know it. All her dreams are coming true, the man, the house and money for school. So, who has shot the hero?! THE MARSHALL DID IT! PLEASE! PLEASE! LET ANOTHER NETWORK PICK UP THIS GREAT FEEL GOOD SHOW!

Didn't this happen with Alf way back when? They left it on a cliff hanger and had the show cancelled after the cliff hanger? I didn't watch much A&E before this show, and now I am left with Longmire, which is a fantastic show that got picked up for more. But the rest of their craptacular line-up has got to go.

By the way, a write-in to bring back Glades for one more season to end it properly, I am in for it. Someone should start it, I will add my name. We should build a fan base and consensus right here on IMSC.com and give it to the big boys, the so called Crack Addicts...lol

Listen, we all know we will watch A&E again,can you say LONGMIRE, this is a terrible way to end a respectable series and a good watching show. They worked through all the warts, Callie getting fat and Jim wanting to sleep with another detective and how Jim proposed, terrible. You think they could work through giving 3.4 mil. fans a satisfying ending. I have to agree with Pat, this "Storage Wars" crap is enough already. I know it is a lot cheaper to produce this reality crap then a real show, but its so boring. If it is not a good drama or comedy then why bother watching. Its not just A&E, all the networks that run REALITY SHOWS BITE!!!!!

I like this ending though.. No sugar coating no nothing just like that - you are fired!! and deal with it.. Will he make it, prob not.. He'll just die there and his fiancé will think that he ran away and will hook up with her ex-husband and they all will go to witness protection. The end. Thank God there is no law to demand happy ending or even a decent ending..

Why did they cancel? This show was great. I could have lived without all the girl drama but I still like it.
