The miniseries gets the quick axe.
January 13, 2014
ABC has removed new miniseries The Assets from its lineup after just two episodes. The show was originally scheduled to run for eight weeks, but a record-low debut for its premiere episode triggered an early cancellation.
In its place, Shark Tank reruns will air on Thursday nights in the 10:00pm time slot for the next three weeks.

I don't even bother watching anything new on ABC anymore. They cancel all the good shows and renew some really crappy shows. ABC stands for Already Been Cancelled.

This just proves that network television is geared to people with an IQ of 100 or below. God forbid they allow anyone to think.

ABC just lost another viewer.. One hope even for a short run on its schedule and now back to the mindless drivel of stupid "reality"shows and lame games.......

Really ABC....you cancel a miniseries. It's probably the best thing you had going this season. I was hooked. You local networks are worthless. Thank God for satellite TV.

Disappointing to see Assests canceled. Found out when I went to DVR a recording for tonight. It was an interesting and intelligent view into a time in history and the program did not depend on someone being killed or blown up every minute to be entertaining. I really want to see the remaining episodes. Will they be aired somewhere? Online?

Aaaaaaandd that's why my DVR is nearly full. I save up a whole season before I start to watch anything because of crap like this. Had the rug pulled out from under me TOO MANY TIMES, especially by ABC. Eff that network...

Smelled the blatant try to acquire The Americans viewers during the promos for this. I knew it wouldn't do well but never expected an 8 episode runt o be cancelled after only 2. Good thing I never bothered tuning into it.

I've never heard of a mini-series getting canceled before. I can't believe it didn't get better ratings. It was interesting to say the least. Hopefully someone like Netfix will acquire it and stream it.

Once again ABC cancels a show that reguires an intellect to watch it and replaces it with Shark Tank reruns. When will the reality show era come to an end.
