USA Network announced today that Psych will end after eight seasons on the air. The buddy comedy's series finale has been scheduled for March 26.
A special one-hour live show will immediately follow the finale, which will feature a Q&A session with the entire cast as well as show creator Steve Franks.

This is extremely disappointing news. There WERE rumors that the show was going to end, but I kept my hopes up. I basically just started watching Psych not too long ago. I almost caught up and now they're ending it? But terrible shows like Modern Family (terrible) and Dance Moms (don't get me started on reality tv shows) are still on the air? Please. Hopefully they rethink this nonsense.

I am so disappointed by the show's cancellation. Psych and Monk pretty much built the USA network. Psych was extremely creative season after season. Apparently they all wanted to "go out on top" which is NOT what series producers are on record of saying. Steve Franks stated that they would continue doing what they were doing as long as the network will let them. Don't know the real reasons why the show is cancelled, but I will never look at Pineapples the same way again.

its been rumored for ages that season 8 would be the last...maybe even since just before season 7 started airing. i'm sure we'll get a good ending.

sad to seed it go, but Psych had a good run. Happy they're ending it properly instead of just canceling it.

This was a fun show and I thoroughly enjoyed the antics and all of the actors. That said, I think it's a good time to end the "bromance". Cheers to all and I look forward to seeing them in their next endeavors!

All reports make it sound like it was kind of sudden, so there will be no decent wrap-up for the series. Ridiculous. There could even be a cliffhanger that they can now do nothing about. But what else can we expect from a network owned by NBC...
