May 8, 2014
The CW has cancelled The Carrie Diaries after two seasons. The drama was a prequel to the hit HBO series Sex and the City but failed to draw a significant viewership over the course of its run.
Show writer Amy B Harris confirmed the news on Twitter, writing, "Sadly it's true. #TheCarrieDiaries has been cancelled. Thank you to the most beautiful, talented, and amazing cast and crew. 2 yrs of bliss."

Good post Casueda. I haven't watched this series, but knowing (without spoilers) that this show ended in a good way, I will have to watch it anyhow. :)

The problem of this serie, at lest in my case is I knew the couple do not finish together, because all we know the future of Carrie. I did not see a show where I know the future of the main character.

SO SAD! I was hoping to see Carrie go to college and meet Miranda and Charlotte.

they must have known there was no way it was getting a third season, the finale really wrapped everything, and it was amazing.

This is heartbreaking!!! 💔 The Carrie Diaries was a great show and does not deserve to be cancelled. Plus how can they just end it with the saddest episode ever with Sebastian and Carrie breaking up. I literally was crying when I watched it. I can't believe the show got cancelled. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
