The CW is bringing back the Sex and the City prequel.

The CW has renewed freshman series The Carrie Diaries for a second season. The drama, which is a prequel to Sex and the City that follows lead character Carrie Bradshaw, recently wrapped up a 13-episode debut season.
Ratings were on the lower end compared to other shows on the network, leading to speculation that it would not return. Today's news allows fans to breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that The Carrie Diaries will indeed be back for the 2013-2014 season.
UPDATE: Season 2 of The Carrie Diaries premieres on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 8:00pm.

I am a 50 year old fan of Sex and the City and love this prequel. |You don't have to be a teen to enjoy this show because it fills in the blanks on how the adult characters came to be.
