No Season 3 for the sci-fi drama.
May 9, 2014
NBC has cancelled Revolution, opting to pull the plug on the sophomore series after two seasons. The show's Season 2 ratings have been lackluster, and far below its Season 1 numbers.
Revolution got off to a strong start when it first premiered in 2012, debuting with a strong 4.1 rating in the adults 18-49 demo and staying at a 2.6 or above for the first half of the season. Viewership dipped for the back half but stayed at a respectable number to warrant a renewal.
The show's second season has been a different story, with its premiere starting at a 1.8 and falling as low as 1.1 for its most-recent episode this past Wednesday.
Revolution's series finale is scheduled to air on May 21.

I like Revolution. But it has started to drag on a bit with the whole Miles and Monroe inner battle going on. Love Charlie. I could watch her even in a non speaking role. The mystical possession of Aaron's wife is just confusing and so far unimportant to the story. Tom's obsession with hating just about everyone has just about wore thin also. I'm sorry to see it go but I was hoping for a little more action before the big finish.

NBC should stand for "No Brains Company". Networks wonder why their series fail, in part it's simple, stop trying to get us hooked on a good series, to just turn around and end it. They make stupid scheduling options, like long breaks, and then wonder why ratings go down. We'll I'm done with anymore new series. It's like the " boy who cried wolf" at some point you stop believing all their new series promotional hype. Why bother being loyal to a show, when the idiots running the networks can't be loyal (in the slightest) to "their viewers". So disappointed !!!!!!!

Great premise; pretty good actors; pretty poor writing after the mid-point of season 1....making the new USA government a neo-nazi bunch of gangsters who nuked their own people was the start of the shark jump. Calling those stereotyped bad guys the "Patriots" finished it....if you're trying to make a broad political point, why not call them the Tea Party Patriots? It would have been more intellectually honest....I won't miss it. I'd like to see the premise taken up by a network not called NBC/

WHY WAS THIS SHOW CANCELED. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS ON TV. LET ME GUESS NBC IS PROBABLY GONNA REPLACE IT WITH ANOTHER SINGING COMPETITION OR DANCING. MAYBE NBC SHOULD PLACE THE BLAME ON THEMSELVES FOR THE LOW NUMBERS. NBC SUCK ALL I KNOW A DUMB SHOW YOU REPLACE IT WITH.

Really enjoyed the first season, my 11 and 12 yo did too. But second season it was all over the place, it was almost as if the writers where making it up week to week. Sucks bc it had great potential.

Can only hope another network picks this one up. It has a lot of potential but the executives and writers behind this seem lost. Great actors however!

This is an original story not given the proper opportunity to take off. NBC continues to dissapoint with excellent series cancellation. I would really like this series to be picked up and the writers have freedom to truly create a deep storyline. I am slowly beginning to watch more cable series due to network killing great series midway.

Thank goodness those behind M*A*S*H were smart enough not to cancel it after its poor first season. So many good shows are being given up on way too early.

I hope someone else picks this up and runs the episodes every week like they should instead of seeing one and then waiting three weeks to see a couple more and then waiting another couple weeks for another. BLAME YOURSELF NBC.
