No Season 3 for the sci-fi drama.
May 9, 2014
NBC has cancelled Revolution, opting to pull the plug on the sophomore series after two seasons. The show's Season 2 ratings have been lackluster, and far below its Season 1 numbers.
Revolution got off to a strong start when it first premiered in 2012, debuting with a strong 4.1 rating in the adults 18-49 demo and staying at a 2.6 or above for the first half of the season. Viewership dipped for the back half but stayed at a respectable number to warrant a renewal.
The show's second season has been a different story, with its premiere starting at a 1.8 and falling as low as 1.1 for its most-recent episode this past Wednesday.
Revolution's series finale is scheduled to air on May 21.

This Sucks!! Loved this show and I'm highly upset with that decision!

It seems to me everyone should be blaming / suing the Neilson ratings people for discriminating against people over 49 for all the good shows being canceled. If you're between 18-49 years old you get your choice of what to watch. Over 49 and your voice just does not count anymore. Loved this show. Hate to see it gone.

I am gutted. I thought the show had some real potential but I see two problems
1. cutting the first season in half and waiting too long for second part
2. rushing the story line and not giving it enough pace. Meaning destroying the republic and bringing in the US government too quick. Also revealing why the power went out just way to quick. Now you got them coming up with their own plan.
I think the show had a great premise and for somebody who loves the Fallout games this was a close link to those games for me. It was an original show that had slightly bad direction.
I am also disappointed that some fantastic actors will not be on my screen. There was some really good guys in this I hope to see them in another show or movie soon.
You cannot put your faith in new/newish shows any more. Most don't get a chance and those that do are given a little chance to get it right.
Studios will never learn. Plan the show times right, don't change them, don't rush ahead, don't put a show on a hiatus for a long time, give it a bloody chance!

Well, this sucks. I liked this show. I'm really getting hesitant at getting into new shows, pretty much knowing they'll be cancelled. Sigh.

This show had an outstanding narrative then it all went Pear Shaped towards the end of the 1st series when they started including events that were implausible, the show was doomed once the bomb was dropped!

You know maybe if you didn't break a series up with month long hiatus' so much people might actually remain interested in your show.

I hope they let Revolution at least tie some ends together, so it is complete. I enjoyed it and would probably watch it if it was on SyFy.

the show lost it's way. just like that Kansas nuke show did years ago. when they made the u.s. government the bad buys. we all complain about the u.s. government but we don't want it to fall and then be the villain. which nukes it's own people. that doomed the show. I liked it , but was not happy with that storyline.

I have no idea why I'm still watching this show. The 1st season showed potential, but the 2nd season just plain went in the wrong direction. Too bad.
