The freshman drama will not return.
May 10, 2014
NBC has cancelled Dracula, axing the new drama after one season. The show aired for a short 10-episode run during 2013-2014, but drew lackluster ratings over the course of the season.
Dracula joins Believe and Crisis as other recently-cancelled NBC freshman dramas.

I watched the whole thing even though it wasn't that great and I knew it'd get cancelled. Poor Jonathan Rhys Meyers can't catch a break. I love him, but he wasn't always on top of his game every episode.

Saw this coming after the first episode.

Very disappointed that NBC cancelled this one. I really liked Jonathan Rhys Myers in this role, and I thought the show had plenty of potential. The pin-heads at NBC have done it again. I know they live and die by ratings, but they just do NOT give some shows a fair chance!

This was a great show, and it was great paired with Grimm! Even though I try to expect every single show I watch (or DVR and wait to watch) to ultimately be cancelled, it still turns my stomach when it happens to the really good shows. CBS is overloaded with so many good dramas (if you like procedurals) they have almost nothing that really needs to be cancelled. NBC, on the other hand, has nothing worthwhile left since they keep cancelling everything worth watching! ARGH

Another one to add to the list after a depressing weekend for new series!
I wonder how differently the major networks would react if viewers boycotted their stations for a month! I wonder if the money grabbing execs would listen to the views of the people who ACTUALLY hold their purse strings! Whenever there is a major sporting event and the networks are about to show the half-time (highly expensive time-slot to the advertiser!) show everyone should move channels! Would it affect them? Would it show them who is REALLY in charge? who knows, lets try hey........

From what I have read elsewhere, Dracula will still be getting a Season 2 which will air in the UK but it just wasn't picked up to air in the US.

This is sad news to see they waited this long to finally announce this decision. Such a great show, hope another network picks this up where NBC left it short, but being the under performing major network they will be quick to cancel anything. Hard to bring loyal viewers back when this is your now known M.O.

This makes me hate TV and NBC. They always cancel shows as they are becoming great.
