NBC announced today that The Night Shift has been renewed for a second season. The freshman medical drama has gotten off to a strong start since its May premiere, drawing healthy viewership in its post-America's Got Talent time slot.
The network has ordered 14 more episodes for an expected return next summer.

my hubby will be pleased, every year he gets to watch a season of a hospital/doctor show and then it disappears! He likes medical shows but doesnt like Greys!! weird I know we were also ER addicts for me Greys replaced ER for him it didnt!!

Wow really they renew this garbage but cancel so many other shows smh nbc is lucky for the 2-3 shows I watch on their network.

Sorry John thats Americans, We don't like original shows. Rinse and repeat over and over is how we like it.

Wow! A show about doctors! How original. Now if we could only get a cop drama or two on network TV, we'd be set!
