NBC announced today that The Night Shift has been renewed for a fourth season. The network has found the medical drama to be a reliable performer over the summer months, where it has aired for two of its three seasons. Its most-recent season saw it rank as the #1 summer drama on the four major broadcast networks.
Look for Season 4 of The Night Shift in 2017. It has not yet been specified if it will return to a summer time slot, but that appears the most likely spot for it at this time.

Thx for this site to find out that my favorite show night shift will continue!! The importance of this show is that it gives a face to the many men and woman who have served our country. The commitment they give in times of need and the sacrifice that they have given us.

Thank goodness they renewed it. I love this show. I have seen every episode. We can only hope for season 5.

I'm still really sad this show was pulled from Hulu and I haven't watched since mid season 2 for that reason

I thought it was a lost cause also, but I'm so glad it was renewed anyway. Night Shift may not be a deep, critically acclaimed drama, but I enjoy it for what it is : a guilty pleasure. That said, I do hope they get back to the basics and turn away from having the hospital buy out storyline being front and center.

Have to agree with Genev13, this season has been poor compared to the first two seasons, which I though were quite good
