The show will not continue past its initial order.
October 31, 2014
It is being reported that NBC has cancelled new comedy A to Z. The series premiered earlier this month but has failed to draw significant ratings during its first five episodes in the Thursday 9:30pm time slot.
The network still plans to air all 13 episodes that have already been produced as part of its initial order.

Cute show with characters viewers actually want to root for! It could be better played out and where would it go once the 8 months and such ran its course?

Bub - Why is that surprising? It's a countdown, so of course it's going to be less. It's not going to go up or stay the exact amount of time, as there relationship progresses.

I totally agree at least they are giving us the 13 episode season instead of just disappearing...so nice of the networks!!

Anyone else notice that in the opening narrative the time they are together keeps changing? It's 8 months one episode, then seven the nest.

I just started watching this show yesterday on Hulu after having avoiding it like the plague. Initially, I thought it was way too obvious and kinda felt like a cliche to have Cristin Milioti play a part in another fated relationship (you know, right after being the "mother" on HIMYM). But then I watched it, and kind of liked it, and got mad at myself for watching (and then liking) a show that critics have been dooming to the chopping blocks since its fall premier. I mean, this show is kind of all over the place, but it's cute! At least we have 13 episodes.
