The show will not continue past its initial order.

It is being reported that NBC has cancelled new comedy A to Z. The series premiered earlier this month but has failed to draw significant ratings during its first five episodes in the Thursday 9:30pm time slot.
The network still plans to air all 13 episodes that have already been produced as part of its initial order.

Too bad, this show had some promise. But it seems almost all of the "meet-cute" sitcoms (e.g., Manhattan Love Story, maybe Selfie) detailing relationships in the modern era have failed this season. I do feel it went down a bit after the first episode.

I absolutely hate NBC. They never give shows a chance to succeed. I really liked this show. They should have at least finished all the way up to Z!!!! Closure anybody?

Once again NBC pulls the plug on a good show before giving it a proper chance to get a foothold. I hate NBC. Hopefully another network will pick it up.

Too bad. I thought this show was pretty good.

I thought it was funny. There are a couple of other shows that are not as good and still on. Maybe a cable channel will pick it up. I don't like when you get invested and don't know how it ends....like missing the end of a movie!!

will they rename it to A to M?

Just because the narrative says they date for x months, x weeks and x days doesnt mean their relationship would be over and the show itself would be over...How do we know that doesnt mean they dont get engaged at that point? When people get engaged or get married, do you consider yourself dating at that point?
I liked the show and am sorry it got the axe after what 4 or 5 episodes...I guess that means another police show is on the horizon...

Glad they are going to at least let the 13 episodes play out. The wife and I have really thought this show was cute. So unlike most other NBC 30 minute comedies

Um, not John.... listen to the narrative. "Zleda and Aaron will be together for X Months X Days and X hours. THis is a chronoli...." It's not a countdown. It's a statement. Therefore it should not change every episode.

The commercials looked boring and I figured it would get canned. Glad I didn't waste my time.
