The new drama will return for Season 2.

ABC Family announced today that Chasing Life has been renewed for a second season. The freshman drama premiered this summer and has so far aired 10 of its 20 expected first-season episodes. To this point in the season, the show ranks as cable TV's #1 series in its time period in many key demographics including Adults 18-34.
Before the second half of its first season resumes, an additional special Christmas episode will air on Tuesday, December 9th at 9:00pm.
