FOX has announced that it will be bringing back the quiz show Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? for another season. The series originally aired on the network between 2007 and 2009 before moving to syndication, where it ran until 2011. Original host Jeff Foxworthy will be returning to the series, though no time frame has been announced yet for its premiere.

Maybe FOX should bring back "Don't Forget the Lyrics" as well if they're going to revive "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?".

@greg- maybe you should make sure you have no typos before commenting on other's posts. Because that is all it was, a typo. I do know the difference between affect and effect, two to and too, their there and they're, among other common grammatical mistakes taking over the internet.

Hey, Greg. You may want to try brushing up on your reading comprehension skills. I said "new", not "new idea". As you learn reading comprehension, I suggest that you try to spell "therefore" correctly, and you could discover where to insert commas, as well. Maybe YOU should watch this show, considering that you’re an imbecile, an inbred hick, or perhaps both….

@Justin G. Gotham is a "new" idea? Are you 8-10 years old and therefor don't know about Batman's 50 or so year history? Gotham is just an 'origin story' for Batman and all the criminals he fights. It's FAR from a "new" idea....

Ugh seriously? I do not understand this decision at all.
But to everyone commenting saying they should revive other shows, keep in mind that it's probably much easier to revive a game or reality show because they don't have to worry about actors having aged, gotten other jobs, or just plain not wanting to return.

Sounds to me like people are complaining because they are NOT smarter than a 5th grader. More people apposed to actually learning anything. Go watch your honey boo boo and drool all over yourself

...because they cannot come up with anything new that's worthwhile, apart from Gotham. On the other hand, maybe they'll bring back Firefly, The Tick, Brisco County, Human Target, X-Files, In Living Color, Married with Children, Dark Angel, etc. I doubt it, though. Most likely, if they bring back another show, it will be either Temptation Island or The Chevy Chase show just to annoy us further.
