British network ITV has announced that Broadchurch has been renewed for a third season. There is no news yet on a stateside pickup but BBC America, which aired Season 1 and will be airing Season 2 beginning tomorrow, will likely continue with Season 3 as well.

I know they are filming season 3 because Arthur Darvill, who is on DC Legends of Tomorrow, had to leave that show temporarily in order to be available for Broadchurch...but is there any news on air date yet?

Saw seasons one and two and can't wait for season 3. I watched Gracepoint also and then rewatched season one of Broadchurch. I enjoyed Broadchurch more. I can understand why Gracepoint was cancelled. It may have been OK if we hadn't already seen the excellent Broadchurch. Unfortunately it only elicited a comparison between the two and it lost in the comparison.

Complete and utter rubbish. The acting was awful in series 2 and i gave up. It was unbeleivable

This is good news. I was very unhappy with the bbc after cancelling both 'in the flesh' and 'atlantis' , gracepoint was a mini series. that if it did well enough would have been picked up for season two. It didn't , one reason was I had just seen this show and didn't want to watch the same thing over called 'gracepoint' that hurt the ratings. the excellent 'agent carter' is in a similar situation , as if it did very well , then it would become a real series. I don't see it though. that show was very good too.

Grace point was not canceled. It was only Kent to be a one season show.
