No Season 2 for the new comedy.

Reports are in that IFC has cancelled Garfunkel and Oates after its first season. The freshman series, which was based on Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci's musical comedy-folk videos, ran for a total of eight episodes last fall.

It was up and down, but had a couple good episodes. The best were the musical interludes, their lyrics could be both funny and insightful. Hopefully they will continue to do their music in other venues.

this show had TERRIBLE ratings, it's so sad cause I really like the comedy style of the duo, but I also agree on that several episodes were very weak (joke and storywise)

OMG they cancel this but keep Booknotes and Duff till dawn on the air. The jokes may not ave been funny, the songs were grating and made everybody change the channel, and the actresses had as much fake chemistry as a little debbie brownie, but if you don't give it 100 episodes you aren't giving it a chance.

Aronez, how is Man Seeking Woman pretentious when the main character is poor and lives in a crappy one bedroom apartment that would all fit in a garage in the suburbs?

love their music, but a lot of the episodes were kinda weak, not much real substance to them.

Loved the show. IFC made a big mistake. Some people just get it, but part of their humor was that they didn't look like someone who would sing these types of blue collar funny songs.
