No Season 2 for the new comedy.

Reports are in that IFC has cancelled Garfunkel and Oates after its first season. The freshman series, which was based on Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci's musical comedy-folk videos, ran for a total of eight episodes last fall.

This funny show with likeable characters gets the axe while pretentious tripe like Man Seeking Woman gets renewed it's a strange world.

This was actually a funny show. Did not like the singing personally, but sad to see it go :( Looks like they chose the wrong network, Man Seeking Woman got renewed and is far less funny than this.
