The new drama will not return for Season 2.

ABC has decided not to continue with Forever, cancelling the freshman drama after one season. The news broke this evening on Twitter from star Ioan Gruffod's wife, actress Alice Evans. The show aired its finale on Tuesday.
Forever got off to a decent start last fall, earning a full season pickup in November after a month of healthy, if not spectacular, ratings. Unfortunately viewership started to dwindle in recent months and failed to pick back up to a level that would warrant a renewal from the network.

This was a really good show part police, medical & sifi drama. It was interesting. Would have really liked to see where they took it in a second season. Going to miss it as it is one of the FEW shows my wife & I would watch together.

The first few seasons were okay, but after miracle day it was going to be hard to keep it going.

This is a shame. I thoroughly enjoyed Forever, and I'm already missing it. Please Netflix...revive this show as you did Longmire!

one of the best shows on tv , why would they cancel it ?the finale was great! hope it gets picked up by another network , ABC execs are idiots PS my wife feels the same way

So fed up with good programs being canceled. This was a great show. In the meantime, reality trashy shows, continue on. We have become a nation of trash, trash, trash. When something good and entertaining comes along is canceled the first season, not even giving it a chance to evolve. This is very upsetting!! >=(
