ABC has renewed Castle for an eighth season. The veteran murder-mystery drama has remained a steady performer for the network over the years, though viewership has tapered off as of late, slipping to series lows in Season 7.
Castle joins nine other ABC dramas that were renewed today for the 2015-2016 season. Resurrection and newcomer Forever were today's drama casualties.

Stana Katic is Gone so the show will not be anything good. Nathan Fillion is not THAT charming.

Great show. I hope that it is not cancelled as some people believe. Season 8 does not have to be the end. Good line up of the Cast. Sometimes the writers could do better, but all in all it is still a great show.

This show is just plain fun, and it has a wonderful cast who have all created characters I care about. I certainly hope ABC keeps this one around for another few years!

I think Season 8 will be its last. You can tell it's starting to "wind-down". It's a great show!!! :) I'm happy it should get a proper ending.

This show has gotten stale and tired. The occasional fantasy episode is fun, but it's not enough to keep this show going. Should have let it go after season 6 (minus the Castle abduction, which was STUPID).

I now have all six Nikki Heat novels, thus far.
If Mr. Castle writes another one, I'll buy it.

Love the show! Glad its renewed but I would love to see some better writing next year.
