Horrible ending... very disappointed in this show and the way it went out. 👎🏾👎🏾

like many others said it was better off this way since beckett was leaving anyway, not to mention lanie... that wouldve left perlmutter full time and hes not my favorite character (why does he even hate castle anyway?)
also what happened to tory? vikram didnt need to replace her at the precint...

8 seasons is nothing to be sad about. The cast and crew should be proud to have lasted that long. Most show would give anything to last even 4 years. Castle without Becket is like a real castle with out a draw bridge. Just not right.

Count me with the folks who are glad it's not coming back, but only because Stana Katic dropped out. I've enjoyed this series from the first episode, but Castle and Beckett are the heart of the story and it would have been a completely different show with one of them gone. Going for a curtain call and a fade out now rather than bleeding out and getting axed next fall was the right decision.

Shocking! Had not heard that Stana Katic wàs leaving or that she and Nathan Fillion didn't get along. Upsetting to hear-great chemistry/cat and mouse, dry humor. I don't understand why actors dump good characters/writing. If I made what they made in one year, I'd be set for life. I guess that's not enough. Lightning rarely strikes twice. A good series/cast who meshes like they do is hard to come by. I pray that they don't kill the characters that we've grown to love. Why can't we have a fairy tale ending?

Glad they decided to end the series It would not have been the same without Beckett and I would have had a hard time watching, even though it has been my favorite show for the past 8 years. It was a good run. I will miss the show but can always watch the reruns!

Give Castle's daughter a spin-off show where she solves crimes with her friends. She does have friends? I've never seen her with any.

Not a surprise. The show is named "Castle", but it really depended on BOTH his character AND Beckett ("Caskett"). It's been a great 8-year run, the show was wonderful, and it wouldn't be the same without Stana's character.
Please, give us a good finale that leaves the characters all living "happily ever after".

I would not have watched with out Stana Katic anyway.
