No Season 2 for the crime drama.
May 8, 2015
CBS has cancelled Battle Creek after one season. The comedic crime drama premiered in March as a midseason replacement but faltered in the ratings, starting low and slipping further during the course of its run. The show still has four episodes remaining before calling it quits for good.

I loved this show. As many have said here, it had more elements of real life than most procedural shows. And Milt and Agnew were finally going to get along (indicated in the final episode). It had so much potential. Makes you wonder why they put it in the death time slot where it was constantly being delayed for sports or specials. My DVR couldn't keep up with it. But, I found it worth seeking out to make sure it recorded!

We agree with everyone of these comments. Such a shame that they had to take a show of this caliber away when so many shows are such crap!

PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!! In this age of reality (really?)
stupidity, this show was intelligent, funny, very likable characters, good dialogue and interesting plots. Gosh, that sounds like a good show, yes? Give it another chance in a better time slot.

Bottom line they don't care how pathetic some of these shows are as long as they have a bunch of teenyboppers watching.

This is absolutely ridiculous. A well crafted and acted procedural is cancelled, while garbage remains untouched. This is truly a sorry state of affairs.

I totally agree with the other comments posted here. This is a great show! I was really disappointed to hear that it's going to be cancelled. I wish CBS would reconsider.

This is a sad shame! I loved this show. I love dynamic between Milt & Agnew. I loved that while it had the elements of a crime drama it also made you laugh. Though I like many other high rated crime dramas I found Battle Creek to be the closest in realistic situations. Not every PD has all the newest high tech equipment like so many other shows lead you to believe. I don't feel it was given a real chance with the crappy time slot it had. Sad to see it go. I hope they change their minds.

Six million viewers is not enough for greedy CBS executives. A great tragedy, that well-defined, well-scripted, well-characterized, tv series are killed off just as they get rolling. Come back, Honey Boo-Boo, we need banality the programming executives can really understand.
