The crime drama won't return for Season 2.

Fox has cancelled Backstrom after one season. The freshman crime dramedy was Rainn Wilson's first prime time starring role since his eight year stint on The Office. The midseason series started with decent ratings but lost a lot of its audience as the weeks went on, concluding at a series low on April 30.

teminded me a lot of House. Sad to see it go. I thought it was pretty good.

Really liked this show and the characters. Was up against some stiff competition. I hope someone picks it up.

I was just beginnig to see a future for Backstrom. He trying to save himself. I like the show and characters, even Backstrom in spite of his bad habits. It made him human(not super-human). Sorry it was cancelled.

Fox wants to keep up with the other networks and will probably replace it with a reality show. This show was great...different but still great

If it's such a great show, why were the ratings so low?
If there isn't enough of an audience, why would Fox renew it?

Please let another network snap up this amazing show. I loved it. Another of my favourite shows of the season to be axed. So pi*sed off right now.

I love that quirky show!! If Fox actually cancels and doesn't reconsider, I hope one of the satellite channels picks it up. Please don't end it.
