The Denis Leary comedy will return for Season 2.
September 23, 2015
FX announced today that Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll has been renewed for a second season. The freshman comedy, which stars and was created by Denis Leary, finished airing its first season just last week. Its 10-episode summer run fared well for the network, ranking as one of the highest-rated new comedies on cable this year.
FX has ordered another 10 episodes for Season 2 of Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll, which is expected to premiere in 2016.

Well I made it partially through ep4 of season 2. Now deleted from my planner, I realised that I hadn't laughed once, not once! Leary I feel has become lazy with his writing, too many "songs" and not enough laughs!

Wow, when the best things said about a show are that an actress is pretty and its better with the curse words unedited I don't see the show being on much longer. This show has funny moments but not enough to really sustain a long term following, and it's brief half-hour, abrupt ending, so close and yet so far format would probably play better with other similar formatted shows (NOT PLOT OR STORYLINES) currently on Adult Swim e.g., "Your Pretty Face.." Etc. Who wants to sit through the same we're-gonna-be-famous-no-we're-not that occurs in EVERY episode for another season? Get cracking FX

Torn on this one. Love, love love Dennis Leary and Rescue Me is my all time favorite show. To me it just seems like he's playing a rock n roll version of Tommy Gavin but with out Lou's one liners. I'll keep watching though

The worst part about this show is Leary... and I normally like Leary. He's just not right for the character he's playing. But then.. Woody Allen was wrong for 90% of the movies he wrote and he insisted on starring in them. It's a shame when writers/creators can't step away and take an honest look at the show/film as a whole. Remove Leary from this show and it would actually be pretty good.

bb if you have VOD, look for the "explicit" episodes. They don't censor out the curse words. Makes the viewing more enjoyable.
And it is worth the chance. It gets pretty funny in the later episodes.

Kind of surprised by this. I'll have to give it another chance.
