The summer drama will not continue.
October 20, 2015
It looks like ABC will not be moving forward with Season 2 of The Whispers. The freshman sci-fi drama aired 13 modestly-rated episodes over the summer, ending with a cliffhanger in August that left fans clamoring for answers.
Unfortunately, according to show star Milo Ventimiglia, this story does not have a happy ending. Ventimiglia took to Twitter recently, responding to a fan inquiring about Season 2 with, "Sadly not happening darlin". While the network has stayed mum on the show's future publicly, the cast obviously knows that Season 2 is not in the cards.

I've been waiting for this news to see if I'd watch or not.
I swear what TV shows need to start doing, especially when only a 13 episode season - is - in advance, PROMISE to have a season 2 even a 10 episode finalizing season - they could even make it only streaming or something.
ANYTHING to get people to WANT to watch this new, what could be great, programing.
As it is, I'm sure 1 reason for low ratings was just this, knowing they would probably cancel and leave us wanting more.
Sorry anyone who watched and got stuck on a cliffhanger, I hate leaving shows to watch until I know what happens, the sad thing is more and more people are doing this, leaving new shows less and less chances :-(
