The summer drama will not continue.
October 20, 2015
It looks like ABC will not be moving forward with Season 2 of The Whispers. The freshman sci-fi drama aired 13 modestly-rated episodes over the summer, ending with a cliffhanger in August that left fans clamoring for answers.
Unfortunately, according to show star Milo Ventimiglia, this story does not have a happy ending. Ventimiglia took to Twitter recently, responding to a fan inquiring about Season 2 with, "Sadly not happening darlin". While the network has stayed mum on the show's future publicly, the cast obviously knows that Season 2 is not in the cards.

Geez, folks. People don't watch shows and they get cancelled, don't take it so personally. Get over it. Happens every year.
It was a fun show. I was really curious to see where Season 2 went. I hope Lily Rabe finds something else soon. I really like her.

@Kminer - Don't worry. I saw a rundown of the proposed 2nd season. The electricity aliens invade earth, take over the television industry, enslave humans by airing dozens of mediocre shows and then cancelling them after the first season ends on a cliffhanger.

Another show where I'm left with a cliff hanger. No wonder more and more people aren't even watching the new shows,on network tv until they make it to a second season. The networks are shooting themselves in the foot, by letting down people who invest the time and emotions in a new show, by leaving them hanging. They are motivating people to invest in pay channels and streaming, like Amazon and Netflix, who cater to us, instead of the advertisers.

Tried to watch this show, but it was only on ABC.
Got to episode 3 or so, but live tornado watch coverage pre-empted the Detroit area broadcast about 20 minutes in. Since Rogers used that one feed for every channel airing the show, I missed it and lost interest, since there was no On Demand to catch up on.

Typical, cancel a great show to make room for more reality crap. Tired of good shows ending on a cliffhanger. Network execs don't know what they're doing. Maybe Netflix or Hulu will pick it up.

I'm tired of these shows where at the end of each episode they almost catch the carrot, only to come back and have the same thing happen at the end of the next episode.
Suspense dramas like this have no payoff for me. I should be able to watch a show in the middle of the season without requiring me to what happened in the first show. They should have planned on making this a single season show.

I also watched the first 3 episodes and recorded the others to watch when I got a chance. Now they will be deleted.I love sci-fi but I must be in a very small minority as none seem to make it.
