The Sundance drama will end after its upcoming season.

SundanceTV announced today at the TCA press tour that Rectify will be concluding its run. The original drama was renewed for a fourth season in the summer, but today is the first word that the series will be ending.
No premiere date has been set for Rectify's final run at this time, but a return this fall appears likely.

Didn't someone mention in a previous update on this show...that it's actually lasted longer than the intended story line? Rating were good enough that they had someone extend the story. And I agree it seems to finally have come to a good time to end it.

I absolutely adore this show. It is extremely well acted, written and executed -- it deserves Golden Globe and Emmy awards for sure. However, it makes sense that it would conclude after the next season. It is a story line calls for a resolution. I'm just hoping this final season will at last get the attention of the awards shows...especially for the amazing Aden Young as Daniel.
