The revival series concludes this month.

Though always planned as a limited series, NBC confirmed today that Heroes Reborn will be ending its run after one season. The Tim Kring superhero drama, which acted as a revival of the once-popular, previously-cancelled Heroes, premiered as part of the network's 2015 fall schedule for a 13-episode stint.
The reboot didn't do much to renew viewer interest in the franchise, however, and its lackluster ratings on Thursday nights reflected that. One would imagine that if Reborn managed to draw a sizable audience, NBC might have explored possibilities to bring the show back for further installments. But as it stands now, the network says no more incarnations are planned for the foreseeable future.
Heroes Reborn airs its series finale on Thursday, January 21.

why did they think it was even a good idea to bring this show back a second time? especially after how badly the first one crashed and burned. they didn't improve on anything, it was dead after one episode.

I think the biggest issue with Heroes Reborn was that, being a continuation of the original series, you HAD to watch the original series to understand the significance of certain events. The main thing is "Butterflies." Fans of the original show understand this concept deeply and why the entire show suddenly changed a degree in one episode. The Easter Eggs were wonderful, and the choppy filming style a pleasent throwback, but those who didnt watch Heroes were left scratching thier heads and bailed. Im glad NBC at least tried - Thank you!

i watched the first 3 episodes then waited... but it sounds like it will end with a conclusion so I might go ahead and finish watching it.
I don't mind canceled as much when it is done with a final and not a cliff hanger or left wondering in anyway!

I had heard this wasn't doing well so I guess I'm just thankful they're going to air the rest of the episodes. It's been pretty good in my opinion but I guess the series has just run its course.

Can't say I'm surprised unfortunately I lost interested really fast.

Month long breaks in a series built on compelling storylines do no one any favors. Stupid timing to break so long over the holidays. And none of the new characters were really that interesting. No one as interesting as Claire, Patrelli, and Syler.

Sigh. One day all shows will be streamed and so they can be rated and viewed based on actual viewership and not "people don't watch it live because they picked a sucky night and time".

Yet another good show canceled to make way for some worthless reality bullshit that's plaguing TV as it is.

This show needs to go gritty. There is so much potential here but they constantly waste it. They need to focus on a small group and do a whole recast.
