The popular dramedy gets three more seasons.
February 5, 2016
Netflix announced this morning that Orange Is The New Black has been renewed for three additional seasons. Today's pickup will see the hit prison dramedy through at least Season 7. It was also confirmed that creator Jenji Kohan, who runs and executive produces the series, will also be on-board for the duration.

I can't be the only one who thinks the latest season in really bad. I couldn't make it through the second episode. I am disappointed, this show was great.

monk juice..Wentworth is just a rehash of Prisoner and is in no way as provocative as Orange Is The New Black.

Josh, the way the series has been going though you can tell it is no longer all about piper every single episode like season 1.
So hopefully they keep mixing it up that is what keeps it fresh.
If every episode was about piper being the star I would have stopped watching it.

I am male, and I LOVE this show.....however, with that said....seriously, how much more can you do about a buncha broads locked in a prison? In both, the show and in Real life, Piper was in jail for a year. Another 3 seasons would make it seem like 10 years. I really like this show, and really enjoy when a good show continues on, but I also recognize when a show's main plot or environment doesn't offer to extended the show past a couple of seasons. Guess we'll see what happens.

This is good and not good. It's a great show, but when actors sign on for multiple, guaranteed seasons, the acting tends to get really sloppy.

Three seasons in advance seems a bit much for ANY renewal. I mean viewers can be finicky.... but hey.. it's not my money. I guess it's easier to just cancel it if needed but let the public think there are still several seasons ahead.
