The sophomore spin-off will continue.
March 25, 2016
CBS announced today that NCIS: New Orleans has been renewed for a third season. The second spin-off of the NCIS franchise continues to be a steady performer for the network on Tuesday nights. Look for Season 3 in the fall.
Along with NCIS: New Orleans, CBS issued early renewals to six of its other veteran dramas including Hawaii Five-0, Elementary, Madam Secretary, Scorpion, Blue Bloods, and NCIS: Los Angeles. The network's freshman dramas - including Supergirl, Code Black, and Limitless - are still awaiting their fates.

Glad it's back. But...what happened to Mary?

This is the only NCIS I watch. The cast is awesome and works well together. Each episode is always well written and you cannot beat the location!

I'm a fan of the show, but always feel like there's something missing. Maybe lack of characters?

Even though it's not a bad show, and do like Scott Bakula in almost every role he's been in, my guy says this show won't have the staying power of either NCIS or NCIS:LA. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think I am...
And Bakula's southern accent is really bad, in my opinion, because it's so inconsistent. It changes from scene to scene all the time!

Could not watch this show mainly because of Scott Bakula and his terrible attempt at a southern accent. LA is the only watchable NCIS there is.

I agree with Ragnarok. Enjoying this more than the others.

I was hesitant on getting into this, because I didn't think Bakula was a good fit, but he is nailing it. A nicely rounded out cast, enjoying the show very much.
