The country music drama ends after Season 4.
May 12, 2016
It is being reported that ABC has cancelled Nashville after four seasons. The veteran drama has long been seen as on the bubble for a fifth season, with things looking promising after new showrunners were recently brought in in the event the show got picked up for 2016-2017.
While never a standout in the ratings, Nashville did hold a devoted fan base throughout its run. The country music-based series released numerous CDs with songs sung by the cast, and also aired TV music specials and held small tours.
Catch the Nashville series finale on May 25.

I and my family ages 67,48,42,28, all loved this show. It was unique, not at all like Empire or Vinyl. There is a huge following of country music.I feel they had to put in the teen angle because Hayden Panettiere is in rehab AGAIN for postpartum depression.
She was a major cast member. We loved all the different storylines. Maybe it will get picked up by someone else.

The last few weeks the show has been awful. No one is having any fun, no one worth rooting for -- why am I watching?? So glad it was canceled.

As I've been saying for months, those teen girls, Maddie in particular, absolutely have RUINED this show. Who wants to watch privileged white tween angst? Too bad, so sad.
