ABC has renewed Nashville for a third season. The country music drama has continued to be a decent performer for the network, garnering fairly steady ratings week to week.
Over its two seasons, the show has won critical acclaim and amassed a loyal following of fans. Music from the series has also been steadily released featuring songs sang by the cast.
The Season 2 finale of Nashville airs this Wednesday, May 14. Look for Season 3 to return this fall.
UPDATE: Season 3 of Nashville will premiere on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 10:00pm.

It's official! Nashville has been renewed for a third season. Our friends at the Nashville Business Journal reported the breaking news just a few mintes ago.

I, like others here could take or leave country music, but I love great songs and performers. This show has a wonderful cast and they have some great voices. I unlike some others loved the concert they did where the writer's and performers got together, nice to see where some of those songs came from.

Glad it's getting another season. I never thought I'd like a show that's about country music...and I'm still not a country music fan in general (I fast forward the DVR on the truly country stuff), but this show delivers some really great crossover music. Pair that with a "guilty pleasure" soapy storyline and solid acting and I just can't help but be hooked!

So glad this has been renewed, I didn't used to like country music but I gave Nashville a chance and I'm hooked. I just wish we weren't so far behind in the series in the UK !

Well deserved this show has everything great acting, heartfelt story lines and amazing music. I never used to really like country music until I watched this show. I mean when Claire Bowen sings black roses I get shivers it's so hauntingly beautiful <3
