I love this show.. at times but the in between seemedifferent to drag on and on. Not sure why they focused on the romantic side instead of the psychotic side. The end is S4 was very good.. I just wish they would focus more on Norman's alter ego. Please in S5 have Norman be insane ..

Pope , the last two episode of season 4 were among the best of the whole series! Season four was ok. But those last two were excellent. It's now a whole new show. So it's good we get a ending to this show in season 5.

I think bailed around the last 2 or 3 episodes of season 4.. have them.. just haven't watched them. I got tired of the melodramatic, illogical, "romance" story of Norma. Marriage of convenience, then LITERALLY 1 episode later they are suddenly head-over-heels for each other? And the entire point was to pay for Norman's stay..... then she's happy he's coming home... WTF???... just moronic writing if you ask me. Maybe the last couple episodes were better... I'll watch them eventually. But man did season 4 blow.

Yeah Pope, season four did drag most of the season. I think they brought it big time in the last two episodes though

No need for Season 5. Season 4 told us all we needed to know. End it now on a high.

Season 4 was deplorable... all over the map. I'm not even certain I give two craps about season 5. A&E may have lost my interest entirely by writing such a horrid season 4.

Yeah, this definitely does not come as a surprise. Once Norman kicked into full Norman Bates mode there's really nowhere else to go BUT full on PSYCHO. This show was always supposed to be about what LED UP to the Psycho we all know and love. One thing I dont agree with is the "...as well as specific differences that will distinguish the TV series from the movie" part. This is where theyre going to FUBAR everything up. I think they should just line us up with the main story that we all know for "Psycho continuity's sake." Dont go inventing a bunch of crap out of nowhere that had nothing to do with the original. They had room to do this already in the last four seasons since events leading up to the known story line were never really all that much laid out in detail before. Freestyle period is OVER. Just tie us in with what we know!

I am glad the show will have a chance to end properly and planned. The show has been a moderately entertaining, but some of the stories were disappointing and distracting.

Even though I'm sad it's ending, I'm super glad they are going to wrap up the series. It would of been offal if they kept going and got canceled before they could end it properly.

This is one of my favorite shows, but it's time to get to wrapping things up. I'll miss it, but there are a lot of moments that I will always remember.
Let's start a prayer circle in hopes that they don't screw up the ending.
