The new comedy is picked up for Season 2.

Netflix announced today that Lady Dynamite has been renewed for a second season. The freshman comedy released its 12-episode first season in May, which has been met with strong critical acclaim. The show stars comedian Maria Bamford, who plays a fictionalized version of herself as she sets out to rebuild her life after being treated for mental illness.
There is no word on the number of episodes expected for Season 2, only that it will return in 2017.

I watched more episodes of Chelsea than this (only watched one of this). Maria is funny. I did't care for her show though. It was tiring.

"fictionalized version of herself" -- hmm.. really??? same mental issues, same career choices (albeit "CheckPlus" was the store name rather than the real "Target") -- it had its moments. I'm sure I'll catch season 2.
