The motorcycle travel series will return for Season 2.
September 23, 2016
AMC announced today that Ride with Norman Reedus has been renewed for a second season. The biker-enthusiast travel series premiered this summer with a 6-episode run that averaged 800,000 total viewers, with 434,000 of those in the adults 25-54 demographic.
Norman Reedus, who stars as fan-favorite Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead, combines his love of motorcycles and traveling as he takes viewers on the open road to experience amazing places and their local cultures. Special guests join Reedus on his adventures, which in Season 1 included places such as Death Valley, Appalachia, and the Florida Keys.
Another six episodes have been ordered for Season 2 of Ride, which will return in 2017.

The other reviewer is way overthinking this. The network saw a opportunity to make some cash and norman likes to cruise around on his bike. So they did a reality show about that. How is that supposed to legitimize a network? It's just a reality show , like ozzy and jack traveling around on discovery channel. If you like traveling reality shows , you may like this one. and the ozzy one too. these are cheap to make and fill schedules up. And after the 'feed the beast' disaster they need a show like this. and norman is a fun guy to watch travel around.

This show is a pathetic attempt at legitimatizing a network and cultural hero. I'm a fan of Reedus since 'Boondock Saints' and I believe the respect is warranted; but can't give a shit about his pass time or this show.
