No Season 4 for the crime drama.

It is being reported that TNT has cancelled Murder in the First after three seasons. The crime anthology series was a decent performer for the network during its run, though viewership did drop off considerably with each passing season.
Created by Steven Bochco and and Eric Lodal, Murder in the First was the cable network's sole anthology series, with each season focused on a single case. The most-recent season, which followed the murder of a football player, aired its finale on September 4.

I kinda like this show but something was a bit off, like the forced romance and the characters were just a bit bland. I like the main actors though so hopefully we'll see them in something better soon.

Bummed to see another good one gone on TNT. With Rizzoli & Isles ending too that leaves a big gap in quality programming on the network.

Erika - I get your point, but to be fair, it could be written in their contracts that they are to be in every episode. Though I was quickly getting sick of the main character's kid so I would have gladly done without that storyline....

Sad that the writing was poor in last season which led to drop in viewers and ultimately cancellation. Many shows have very prominent opening seasons, but fail to follow through in subsequent seasons. What made me lose enthusiasm for this show was the poorly written and often boring subplot B/C/D lines. Just because you have hired actors doesn't mean they need to be in every episode of they are superfluous... Just leave them out.

TNT.. boy you people did it again.. I really loved this show, and we get vested in the series and now u geniuses cancel it.
