It is being reported that Van Helsing has been renewed for a second season by Syfy. The freshman vampire hunting drama is just four episodes into its 13-episode debut run on the cable network, with new episodes currently airing on Friday nights.
Van Helsing is a re-imagining of the perennial Dracula brand that follows the resurrection of Vanessa Helsing, a descendent of the legendary Van Helsing lineage of warriors, and her quest to lead mankind against a world controlled by vampires in the post-Rising landscape.

This shows pretty badass. Had me binging it all the way to the end and checkin to see if it got renewed as soon as I finished. Happy to see that it did indeed get renewed.

Thank you SyFy for renewing this show.
And for all of you who do not like it then don't watch the show. No one wants to read your bitching comments.

It's a interesting take on vampires. I enjoy this one and it's got lots of action too. SO this is good news.

I really didn't expect to see this get renewed. I thought it might go the way of Hunters; get pushed to a midnight timeslot and then fall off the radar entirely before getting canceled.
I wasn't impressed with the trailers for the show, it seemed like a bad ripoff of Wynonna Earp (a show that definitely doesn't need to be copied..it's barely watchable by itself) and the first two episodes were unimpressive to say the least.
Halfway through the third episode I paused it, hit the 'List' button and scrolled through all the stuff on my DVR and said to myself "Self, why are we watching this nonsense when there's other proven entertainment stacking up while you waste your time on this garbage?"
When a tv show is so bad that it's got me having conversations with myself about how bad it is, that's when I pull the plug.

First Episode was awful ...but every episode since then was pretty good. They should have just tossed that Pilot episode in the trash and never used it, probably chased a lot of people away would would still be watching this show if it never aired.
