The new drama is on the chopping block.
October 25, 2016
The future is not looking bright for freshman drama Notorious. Word is out that ABC has trimmed the show's episode count down to 10 from its originally-planned 13. The move follows a slow start for the new Thursday night series, which has underperformed in the 9:00pm hour between Grey's Anatomy and How to Get Away With Murder.
While Notorious is not yet at cancelled status, new series that have their episode counts reduced do not have a good track record of returning for additional seasons. For now, the show's remaining five episodes will air as planned, but the likelihood of seeing more appears remote at this point.

I watched the first episode, I like the stars, not the show very much, so I made the choice to not continue. I was considering giving it another episode, but now I won't have to, this is good for me, one less show to try and fit in lol

Piper Perabo is not bankable as a lead on anything. She is at best a good supporting actress, and nothing more. Her co-star who played "Augie" on Covert Affairs was the only reason most people stayed with the show so long as they did, or it would have been cancelled after the second season.

I agree Sunshine Girl... episodic television which follows the same formula every single episode and right in the middle of a dramatic moment, you have to spend 3 minutes listening to loud, in-your-face, audio from Arbys or Flo from Progressive Auto.. just ruins the show.
Of course, once you remove commercials and watch these shows.. the formula they follow becomes so very apparent you can essentially predict each and every episode regardless of the show itself. They RELY on commercials to cover the sweat-shop style writing.
Apparently ad dollars don't care how crappy the show is.. and there's always someone willing to watch it for some odd reason.
Oh and 2 broke girls... they need to change their laugh track. There's a very distinctive laugh on it you can hear every single time.. and hear it loop. The laugh track itself is funnier than the show ever has been, Seriously when I happen to mistakenly have things on that channel and hear the opening "joke" -- I hear the SAME laugh each time. Mistakenly catch the end of the show.. same laugh again.

This is one where, I enjoyed it when I watched it, but among all the other shows I watch, I have been having a hard time remembering what it is about in between episodes. Now, is that a reflection on the show or my memory? LOL It's on my list and so I go to watch it, and then oh yeah, this is the one with the news team...
Acting is good, but the episodes just weren't memorable to me. And I too love the other shows the actors in this one have done. Graceland was a favourite!! I am sure we will see more of Daniel Sunjata.

I agree with a lot of what Sunshine Girl had to say, especially the laugh track statement. Now, I do like this show though. I think the acting is great and the stories are pretty good. This is NOT a Shondaland show, they put it in this slot because they thought it would appeal to her type of viewers. I guess they were totally off base with that idea. It worked for me, but it looks like the show will not last. I wish they would move it and see if that would help the show.

This show is probably closer to reality than the actual reality shows like big brother, housewifes, etc.

I seems that every time a show is different (not reality, cop shows or medical shows, sci fi ) or the typical types of shows, the networks don't give it a chance.. It's a shame, enjoy a show without aliens, bed jumping etc.

Disappointing show. First episode was okay, but after that, I found myself fast-forwarding through to see the case of the week. Cared nothing about who killed Oscar's wife at this point. Loved Piper Perabo in Covert Affairs & Daniel Sunjata in Graceland. She doesn't come across as a cut throat tv producer to me. He plays his role well.

I wondered what would happen as Scandal is suppose to return after KW's baby birth. I guess cancelling is the way.
