No Season 2 for the Canadian drama.
January 14, 2017
It is being reported that Aftermath has been cancelled after its first season. The Canadian-produced sci-fi drama ran for 13 episodes late last year but failed to find a sizeable audience on either side of the border.
Star James Tupper was first to break the news, posting to his Twitter account that the series will not be returning for Season 2. Tupper and co-star Anne Heche played a couple battling for the survival of their family when civilization as they know it comes to an apocalyptic end.

I think the show was ok, but the casting was all wrong on this one, most of the characters were irritating and one could not really care if they lived or died.

The show had ZERO direction. It was as if the writers wrote episodes after getting high and throw darts are a board filled with random plot lines. Also Anne Heche as a ex-Marine Sniper ... NO ONES buying that one. I like her as a actress but WOW what a terrible casting choice.

Nooooo! I accept this cause the viewers have spoken and by viewers I mean non-viewers. Sucks though cause I'm binge watching it and I'm at episode 9. SyFy, you better replace it with something much better.

In general this was a decent premise EXCEPT for the entire "skinwalker' aspect. That single plot point made the entire thing stupid to me. This show wanted to be "The Walking Dead" without actual zombies, so they made up some other "monster" and it didn't work. They should have just stuck to man's inhumanity towards man and left out the supernatural aspect.

Yet, there are multiple sharkfrickinnado movies. Wtf, man. They keep canceling good shows and starting and letting run the most ridiculous shows. Yeah Aftermath had a bit of a cheapness to it. But at least if a show is going to get canceled, give it an open ending like the series Believe. He got his daughter they moved on, but it was left with an ending that could pick back up if necessary.
