Cinemax confirmed today that The Knick has been cancelled after two seasons. The Steven Soderbergh drama last aired a new episode in 2015 and there was speculation that the show may not return with the knowledge that star Clive Owen's time on the series was up after the end of his 2-year contract.
While the critically-acclaimed series could have found a new lead actor going forward, the cable network said today that they are gearing towards returning to more action drama-related fare.

This show, and it's characters, were a joy from beginning to end. I thought the show had concluded. It would have been interesting to see, how the show would have moved forward without them.

It was a really good show, but given how it ended, it didn't seem too likely it would return -- though I hoped it would.

Really like this show, but certainly no reason to bring it back without Clive Owen.

I thought this was the end anyway. It was taken from a book and everything was concluded wasnt it? I did love it though!
