The Tim Allen comedy ends after six seasons.
May 10, 2017
Word is out this afternoon that ABC has cancelled Last Man Standing after six seasons on the air. The news comes as a bit of a surprise, as the veteran comedy has been an overall consistent performer for the network on Friday nights.
On the air since 2011, Last Man Standing was another successful TV venture for comedian Tim Allen. The show was Allen's first return to the small screen since 90s hit Home Improvement, and while it didn't quite have the longevity of his past series, its 130-episode run was impressive by today's standards.

Well Dr. Ken is as good as dead now. And if they don't renew Designated Survivor I won't be watching ABC anymore. They been pretty dead to me since they took out AMC and OLTL anyway. Ever since Disney got involved ABC has gone down the toilet.

ABC you are stupid!! You keep the most retarded stupid shows that need to be gone and you cancel a decent show that is worthy of laughs. I just don't get it. The rating were good yet other shows are staying that have worse ratings. Pull your head out of your butt and get back to reality!!!

I feel bad when a show is canceled, even if it is one I never cared for. I enjoyed Nancy Travis on this show, but she was the only high point for me.

Meanwhile, look for ABC to announce the renewal of The Middle, The Goldbergs, American Housewife, Speechless, Fresh Off the Boat and Black-ish. All decent sitcoms, but all of which get worse ratings than Last Man Standing. Dumb & Dumber running this network.

I have one thing to say to ABC - SCREW YOU! This was a completely family worthy and wholesome show. There are so few actually on where you can sit and watch with little kids. I guess that is the problem for the twits on the ABC board. I hope Tim starts anew on another network. I watch very little tv to begin with and they gave me another reason to watch less.

Another casualty of politics and the idiots at Disney. Cancel a show that got solid ratings on a Friday night. Pretty stupid

Wow, I didn't see that coming! It's a funny show and my family really enjoyed it. I hate to think that it was cancelled because a Tim Allen is a republican...
