It is being reported that CBS has cancelled 2 Broke Girls after six seasons. Word is the comedy was in contention for a pickup until as late as this afternoon, though negotiations between the network and production company Warner Bros. ultimately broke down.
The diner-based comedy started out as an unlikely breakout hit for CBS when it premiered in 2011, earning the distinction of being the #1 new comedy of the season in both viewers and key demographics. Its dominant ratings eventually tapered off during the later years of its run, though the show maintained a fairly decent-sized audience.
2 Broke Girls aired its now-series finale on April 17, capping a total run of 138 episodes.

The 'Amanda Knox had a better vacation than this' joke (if you can call it that) was a very low point in the show.
When is it OK for to make light of a real event involving the unsolved murder of a young woman.
Very poor taste

Thank GOD! This show was too vulgar even for me. The sex jokes and references were gross, along with horrible acting and basically no story line progression at all.

I've never been happy when a show is cancelled since I don't wish for other people to lose a show even if I don't like it. 2 Broke Girls changes that mindset completely. I did like the first few years, but since then I have watched shocked as it was renewed year after year. Thank goodness they finally cancelled it. ANYTHING in its time slot will be better.

It lost its way a bit but was entertaining throughout. The timing feels right for it to end, as much as I enjoyed it.

If they do a 90s show it should just be the cast of That 70s show. Enough time has passed where they could put them all in the 90s now. Some of them are on other projects (Ashton and Danny on The Ranch, Laura on Orange, and Fez is a laughable NCIS agent) but they might be able to make it work somehow. Don't bother doing it with a new cast. It will find itself on this site quickly.

Well this was seven years overdue. This show was absolutely trashy & low brow that took forever to set up really bad jokes. Chuck Lorre shows are generally shows that rely on potty, sex jokes that try to shock. The dumbing down of TV audiences.
