The cable network has cut all ties with creator Louis C.K.

It's official: Louie is done at FX. The cable network announced today it has severed all ties with show creator Louis C.K. after the comedian admitted to past sexual misconduct towards five women between 2002 and 2005.
The move predominantly affects the overall deal FX had with C.K.'s production company, "Pig Newton", which today had its involvement removed from the four shows it currently produces with the network. The other casualty, though, is Louie, the acclaimed comedy that helped make C.K. more of a household name.
Created, written, directed, produced, and edited by Louis C.K., Louie followed a fictionalized version of the stand-up comedian and his everyday ordeals around life in New York City. Each episode included a scripted story and a mix of C.K.'s original stand-up material.
The show had been on an extended hiatus since August 2015, when FX announced that it would eventually continue once C.K. was ready to resume work on the series.
The full statement from FX Networks:
Today, FX Networks and FX Productions are ending our association with Louis C.K. We are cancelling the overall deal between FX Productions and his production company, Pig Newton. He will no longer serve as executive producer or receive compensation on any of the four shows we were producing with him - Better Things, Baskets, One Mississippi and The Cops.
Louis has now confirmed the truth of the reports relating to the five women victimized by his misconduct, which we were unaware of previously. As far as we know, his behavior over the past eight years on all five series he has produced for FX Networks and/or FX Productions has been professional. However, now is not the time for him to make television shows. Now is the time for him to honestly address the women who have come forth to speak about their painful experiences, a process which he began today with his public statement.
FX Networks and FX Productions remain committed to doing everything we can to ensure that all people work in an environment that is safe, respectful and fair, and we will continue our review of all of these productions to ensure that was and is the case.

So in order for comedy to be funny there needs to be some reality to the joke. Louis has been joking about masturbation since the beginning. What's disturbing is that he wasn't joking at all!
As to what's up with all the women coming out? Well, they have been intimidated. Now they are empowered. This is what real sexual harassment looks like, you engage in power over your victims. Rape is similar, an exercise in power. Good, let it all come crashing down!
Does this mean all the accused are guilty? No. But a great deal of them are guilty as sin as the saying goes. Let the evidence flow and the chips fall where they may. But don't hang an innocent man, we are not all pigs after all. Manhaters are very real. So the evidence is important.

I would guess that if a man exposes himself and maturbates in front of women, it could lead to consensual sex about 0.001% of the time. But yet we have a person here dismissing those offended in saying: "not sure how men are supposed to know the difference." Only a very sick and dangerous person could make such a statement.

Just remember... it's only harassment if she doesn't find him attractive. Otherwise it's a compliment. not sure how men are supposed to know the difference. Of course, what Louie seems to have done was beyond harassment and just downright creepy. Never understood how men can think just whipping their dick out is a plus.

I think all of these women are coming forward now because people are finally LISTENING to them. They kept quiet for years and years because no one would believe them. This will continue as more women realize that it's their time to speak out and not let men continue to get away with doing whatever they want and think it's okay. Let's face it - there are a great deal of men out there who are PIGS!

.. part of me thinks that some (not all) of these women claiming sexual harassment lately are either misremembering, blowing things WAY out of proportion, or jumping on teh bandwagon in hopes of a payout. That's not to say bad things never happened. I just think it's become so prevalent the past year (suddenly) that it can't ALL be true.

Louie was the only thing he did that I saw that I liked. (I saw one episode each of Baskets and Better Things. His standup was too often lame crude stuff with plenty of masterbation. His coproduced stuff on FX (like those two I mentioned) apparently continue without his involvement. In addition to other cancellations and suspensions, he was to have a new animated series on TNT that''s now suspended. It could have been titled Louie and Butthead for all I know.
Louie's women victims had accused him for years but people wouldn't listen. Loius had a lot of gall to make light of the same behavior in his new movie that's been cancelled. Pray he dissappears for good even though there are many others, like a couple rappers I can think of, with known sick behavior that are let off free by our media.
To @dobey - what you might consider strange is the number of hollywood types in the know that have been silent. It not strange for all the women to come out years later when people are willing to listen.

I'm not American, so I have no idea what he has said or done, but I won't miss this one. I liked "Lucky Louie", but "Louie" simply wasn't funny.
