The new drama did not receive any extra episodes.
November 16, 2017
NBC released its mid-season schedule today and it's not good news for The Brave. The freshman military drama is nowhere to be found in the line-up, meaning the network did not order any additional episodes for the show's first season.
The hour-long series premiered in September and through eight episodes has been a decent performer in the 10:00pm time slot on Monday nights, though it regularly gets beaten by a substantial margin by The Good Doctor, which brings in roughly double the viewers, both overall and in the key adults 18-49 demographic.
The Brave takes place in the world of America's elite undercover military operations. In D.C., a team of analysts utilize highly-advanced surveillance technology from their headquarters, while out in the field a Special Ops squad of expertly-trained undercover specialists risk it all as they execute dangerous missions behind enemy lines in the name of freedom and saving the lives of innocent people.
What today's news means for now is that Season 1 of The Brave will end after its initial order of 13 episodes is up, with a final decision on a second season to come at a later date. As history goes, however, Season 2 does not appear likely at this point.
Taking The Brave's time slot in the New Year will be new crime drama Good Girls, which premieres on February 26.

This is one of the top new military shows. It needs to stay in the lineup!

If NBC doesn't pick up this series, then they are making a big mistake. The Brave is outstanding. Far better than CBS's Seal Team. If NBC is worried about losing to The Good Doctor, then move this show's day and time slot. They're missing the boat on this one. I sure hope another network or Netflix or Amazon snatch it up if the Peacock drops the ball.

I absolutely love this show. I look forward to watching it every week. I was also watching the Seal team and also the new show SWAT. They are definitely not as good as this show. It has the drama and the personal stuff of each character. And I really enjoy it. I hope nbc keeps this. I used to watch the good doctor. And lost interest in that as well it is a good show. But if that's what it's competition is change the time slot.
Tell all your friends. We got to save this show

This is a very good show, but if enough viewers don't tune
in, it is a goner. This show is what military team should be but isn't. I hope NBC give this show a chance.

Another good show down the tude. The Brave is far better than that sorry a&$ SWAT show. Now that is garbage, but the give that show a full season. I would like to know who is making these decision and cancell that person.

There's probably not enough gay love scenes in this show to satisfy the diversity police. Thus, it's got to go.

The Brave is one of our favorite new shows.
Seal Team only got one episode viewing from us.
The Brave is much better because it's focus is on the interesting missions instead of a bunch of personal drama.
Please keep this show!!
