No Season 3 for the Miranda Sings comedy.
December 1, 2017
It is being reported that Netflix has cancelled Haters Back Off after its second season. The comedy premiered last year and was notable because it was the first scripted TV series ever created by a YouTube star.
Colleen Ballinger, who made it big on the online video platform playing the quirky Miranda Sings, developed the series for Netflix based on the popular character. The half-hour show follows the self-absorbed oddball Miranda, who lacks any real talent. Though not short on confidence, she firmly believes that she was born to be famous... it's just that nobody knows it yet.
While the show has been cancelled, Miranda Sings will live on on YouTube, where she has been making videos since 2008. The popular channel, which hosts hundreds of videos, currently sits at over 8 million subscribers. Ballinger has not yet commented on the cancellation, but did post a telling Tweet minutes after the news broke.

I will admit that I was happy for Colleen to take a concept on YouTube and make it to a show, but I wasn't really feeling it enough to watch it through. I am sure she will find something else big in the future.

I absolutely loved this show. I hate that I won't get to see how things turn out for all of the characters. :(

This was a hot pile of garbage. I'm surprised it got a second season. I'm happy to see it go.

Actually wasn't bad. Season 1 was much better due to the general storyline. Season two got too into the love lives and daily drama rather than the "quest to be a star" aspect which worked so well in season 1. A 3rd season would have been interesting with Miranda confronting Colleen.... but well.. seemed a bit "above budget" for this show.

I couldn't stomach this show. I gave it a red hot go.. Was like a bad version of unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
