Apple TV is readying a new cyberpunk series titled Neuromancer, that is based off of William Gibson's genre-defining 1984 novel of the same name. Set to debut on January 22, 2027, the 10-episode show features British actor Callum Turner in the lead role.

Turner will play Case, a damaged, top-rung super-hacker who is thrust into a web of digital espionage and high stakes crime with his partner Molly, a razor-girl assassin, as they orchestrate a heist on a corporate dynasty with untold secrets.

The book on which the show is based, Gibson's debut, has been praised as one of the first and most respected works in the cyberpunk genre. It has garnered numerous accolades including the Nebula Award, the Philip K. Dick Award, and the Hugo Award. The novel served as the first book in the "Sprawl" trilogy, followed by "Count Zero" and "Mona Lisa Overdrive."
