Netflix orders more of the sci-fi anthology series.

Netflix announced today that Black Mirror will be returning for a fifth season. The critically-acclaimed series released its fourth overall season - its second on Netflix - in December.
Originating in the United Kingdom, the sci-fi anthology series premiered in 2011 and aired its first two seasons on Channel 4. Netflix acquired the rights to the show in 2015 and has released two seasons of its own since then.
Black Mirror airs in standalone episodes with a different cast in each episode. The anthology series imagines realities in the near future where humanity's greatest innovations and darkest instincts collide. The tales focus on topics ranging from obsession and revenge to fantasy and fear.

Good news for sure! Season 4 wasn't as strong as previous seasons, but it's all fun to watch. I agree that the episodes White Bear, White Christmas and USS Callister are the best of the series but let's not forget San Junipero won two primetime Emmy awards in the US.

Very happy to see this. Some episodes are not so great but that's how it goes in an anthology. Some of the episodes are absolutely incredible. If anyone is looking to jump in, I recommend the episodes White Bear. White Christmas, USS Callister, and Black Museum. They're my favorites so far. Hated In The Nation is also pretty insane.

This show is amazing. Some episodes are not worth watching but overall the stories are incredible.

Let's hope it will be better than season 4… The show really went downhill since it moved to Netflix.
