The docuseries will continue in the 2018-2019 season.
March 14, 2018
It is being reported that A&E has renewed Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath for a third season. The docuseries, which recounts experiences with the Church by the outspoken actress and other former members, is part of a recent slate of shows that have helped the cable network reverse its fortunes as of late.
The premiere of Scientology and the Aftermath in 2016 attracted attention due not only to the public's curiosity about the controversial and mysterious religion, but also because of the church's high-profile feud with producers of the series. That attention helped the show's freshman run become one of cable TV's top new unscripted series of that season.
No premiere date has been announced for Season 3, but look for a return later this year.

.. and I agree with Tammy.. Remini has jsut found a DIFFERENT way to cash in on Scientology by defaming it rather than supporting it. At this pint, she's almost as guilty of spreading its word as the cult itself.

Ermm.. no.... Christianity is one the most insane cults on the planet. Scientology pales in comparison.

Great show. And they are risking their lives to make it. Scientology is one of the most insane cults on the planet. With a army of robotic stooges ready to do their bidding. Glad to hear this is coming back , if one person can be kept from this evil organization by this show that's wonderful.

I don't get it. Scientology has been around for ages and most people (I would think) already knew what a ridiculous and dangerous cult it is. Hardly new information here.....but three seasons? Maybe I'm a bit biased because I just don't care for Leah Remini....but I feel almost like at this point, she's just using them to cash in for a bigger payday. It's as if it's become more about making sure the series continues rather than actually bringing down this cult. People have suffered greatly because of this "church" and they need to be investigated at the very least. I'm just not sure that this series is going to accomplish much other than lining an actresses pockets.

What's that? Religion takes advantage of the weak minded and easily persuaded? No?? Really??? Well, that's certainly new information and worth 3 seasons. Where's Remini's series on Catholicism and pedophilia?

Great show. In the last season it was mentioned that they were communicating with lawyers about potentially confronting the church. It would be great if that aspect could be covered in the third season.

Leah and Co.
Keep up the good fight. I’ve always considered myself emotionally stable and of strong constitution. But hearing the stories of how this cult destroys families and lives has left me in tears. Powerful TV ... 2nd Emmy here we come

This is about what I wrote a year ago after the first renewal:
I watched one episode of this and I thought I had seen the whole thing. I was surprised to see it re-airing all the time.
Now I see it must be far more about whatever (makes money) than interest in Scientology.
