The new teen comedy will return for Season 2.
April 9, 2018
Netflix announced today that Alexa & Katie will be returning for a second season. The good news comes less than a month after the release of the show's first season, which made its debut in late March as the first multi-camera comedy produced in-house by the streaming service.
The series follows the titular characters, who are lifelong best friends about to start their freshman year of high school. Alexa is undergoing treatment for cancer, but she doesn't let that affect her enthusiasm for life. By her side is Katie, her quirky and fiercely-loyal best friend. Together, they are embarking on the next chapter of their lives that can at times leave them feeling like outsiders during a period when fitting in can be what matters most.
Look for Season 2 of Alexa & Katie in 2019.

Very good show. And for the people commenting and saying its geared for a young audience ... Yes it is and states that it is! Nothing wrong with having shows geared for a young/middle school audience! Love watching this show with my 15 year old daughter, she really enjoys it!

I consider shows written for the 10-14 year old to be for children... Not commenting on how good or bad this show may be.. I haven't seen enough of it to make that judgement. But I can say.... this is clearly written for "middle school/jr high school" demographic.

I think Truther is way off on this one. The show is about two girls, who are best friends, one of which has leukemia. While the show can be a little goofy at times, it does cover some very serious issues. I really enjoy this show.

Originally tried the show because I’m a big fan of Tiffani Thiessen and really fell in love with the show. Glad they got a another season.

Watched 1 episode.. well 10 minutes of one episode.. clearly designed for a very young audience. Guess rugrats need something to watch while mommy and daddy get a break.
