The sci-fi drama will not be back for Season 4.
July 21, 2018
It appears as if Colony has been cancelled after three seasons. The sad news comes just days before the sci-fi drama's season finale - which will now serve as its series ender.
The writing appeared to be on the wall when fans noticed a lack of representation at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, where the show has been known to have a regular presence. A tweet by Wes Tooke, who wrote numerous episodes each season, expressed sadness that they won't be able to finish their story.
The series had a solid run on USA Network, at one time ranking as cable television's most-watched scripted series on Thursday nights. Viewership has tapered off, however, with Season 3 hitting series lows that were obviously not up to the network's expectations.
Set in the near future where Los Angeles becomes occupied by outside invaders, Colony follows a former FBI agent and his wife as they risk everything to protect their family and bring liberty back to the people of earth.

This was a great show. Didn't know it got cancelled that really sucks USA. You don't have many good shows to begin with. If you cancel Shooter too I will really get upset.

Would somebody please create a channel / website for Premature Cancelation of descent show. Call it 86'd or whatever. At least so we can get to the ending. So much for the loyal. One of the reasons I stopped watching SyFy. Have to say good by to LT now. Hello Netflix, amazon, and hulu.

Maybe we should go to the creators and ask them to pay for an ending they failed to produce. We the fans KNOW It's not USA's fault that the creators did not end this story. It may not be the creators fault too much but they are the ones that created the episodes and made the ending what it was. If we keep blaming the networks then we let the creators of the hook and this keeps happening. Us Fans need to hold creators responsible for their work.

maybe if we go to usa's sites online and ask for a movie to end the show? timeless got it. But that had a cult following and this was just a decent sci fi show. I think the budget argument is a real one in the case of this shows lack of alien episodes for sure.

They took too long to get to the point, just like "Lost". I get the feeling that they didn't have the budget to spend on the special effects it would take to show the central conflict between the aliens. For example, the work colony on the Moon just disappeared offscreen in an alien attack.
Even so, it was always a well-done series with an appealing cast.

You'v got to be kidding me, what is wrong with these people who cancel good shows as this one is. You must be blind, deft and dumb as to what your audience likes. Shame on you

I guess the Colony's creators should release the info USA gave them about their renewal. I mean if the creators did not get a renewal notice then they made a cliffhanger with a good chance it would not be resolved. Only people who don't care about a story do that. Unless they release the notice we know it was the Creators who didn't care. In that case would would want a second season, and who would want a 4th season?

Every time I find a show I really like it gets cancelled. At least give us an ending! I really loved this show.
