The sci-fi drama will not be back for Season 4.
July 21, 2018
It appears as if Colony has been cancelled after three seasons. The sad news comes just days before the sci-fi drama's season finale - which will now serve as its series ender.
The writing appeared to be on the wall when fans noticed a lack of representation at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, where the show has been known to have a regular presence. A tweet by Wes Tooke, who wrote numerous episodes each season, expressed sadness that they won't be able to finish their story.
The series had a solid run on USA Network, at one time ranking as cable television's most-watched scripted series on Thursday nights. Viewership has tapered off, however, with Season 3 hitting series lows that were obviously not up to the network's expectations.
Set in the near future where Los Angeles becomes occupied by outside invaders, Colony follows a former FBI agent and his wife as they risk everything to protect their family and bring liberty back to the people of earth.

Of course they left us with a cliffhanger, we need Amazon or Netflix to step up and rescue this good series.
At least give us a 2 hr movie to wrap up the storyline.

I am so tired of great shows being cancelled.
Three years invested in this show. Networks are keeping mindless series with simple plots that are a bore to watch going and they cancel this??? Really getting tired of investing my time in these shows. Another bad decision by the networks

witness the dumbing down of america---the networks are replacing any and all good shows with, in the immortal words of archie bunker----CRAPOLA! 12 monkeys, timeless, now colony...guess we will be greeted with a new reality show or another wonderful ncis style crime drama (insert reflex gagging and vomiting noises here)

damn what a pity. admittedly the second season couldn't keep up with the first one and the thrird started off a little slow. but the second half of season three had the same tension and atmosphere that got me hooked in the first place. they also layed a great groundwork for more torwards the end of season three.
really sad, especially if you see which other shows have been renewed.

LGBT has nothing to do with this. The story became sloppy and lame, that's the reason. What a stupid introduction to the Hosts' enemy. So the Host want help, but they come destroying everything and abusing of humanity. What a manner to ask for help.

PLEASE...PLEASE Netflix!!!! Save this show. Yes, the first part of Season 3 was a little slow, but now it's getting better!! Love Josh Holloway!!!! He's a great actor....I didn't like his other show "Intelligence", but not because of him. Most of my favorite shows are now cancelled....what to do????

I knew it going to cancel the show because first of all, I love the first 2 season, it was great but when they move to Seattle - Vancouver and the writers drop the ball, it wasn't great and it wasn't motivating the sci fi fans to continues the series. They should have stay in L.A. to keep a great story going. That suck. Oh well enjoy the rest of the season a least.

That sucks! An Original show is cancelled but stupid, mindless reality shows remain. Hope Colony gets picked up by Netflix.
